ENTERTAINMENT SERIES—Television, Movies and Books!

Image
It's almost April which means lots of things. The end of the TV season will be upon us soon...lots of cliffhangers to look forward to this coming May . Some TV series are only just beginning, like The Voice ! I'm a huge fan of The Voice. Don't really know why except I have to watch it. I'm looking forward to tonight with Shakira and Usher! I think I like it so much because they're so encouraging toward the singers. I used to watch American Idol. Haven't watched it in years. Have never seen the first episode of the X-Factor. Never did enjoy the cuts with the singers that couldn't carry a note.  It's not fun to me. I felt bad for them. We all love to sing and we all have our dreams. I know that we all aren't professional singers like Adele, but I don't feel that a TV show should capitalize on the misfortune ones for whatever the reason show enough courage to reach out for their dreams and fall short. I don't care for those that choose to make ...

The Truth Behind The Fantasy

I write Romance. I write what I feel and Romance is what I feel. More than likely, the Winds of Betrayal series would be considered Historical Fiction, but on the whole Romance is the driving force behind my books. I was reading an article on the internet that someone said that romance novels are bad for your health. I disagree. On the contrary, I believe it is just the opposite. In the midst of  all the appointments, grocery stores, laundry, rushing the kids from one activity to the other, the phone calls, bills...we live on a merry-go-round. When you pick up a romance novel, there is...

THE POWER OF POSITIVE THINKING

Image
Am I seriously supposed to know what I'm doing? There have been several times in my life I have felt like this. Starting a new job. Getting married. Having children. Then after I took the plunge into a new experience, I figured out that it all works out in the end. Hasn't been that way in my writing career. I thought the hardest part would be writing the book. It hasn't been. The hardest part is the business end of everything. I'll let you in on a little secret. I'm not a business person. Never have been...never will be. My heart rules me. My major in college was in sciences. My love was writing and reading. Accounting and bookkeeping...not so much. So it goes with Indie publishing. This has been a learning experience. On one hand I love the control I have with Indie publishing; on the other I want to scream to have a publisher. Why? Because all I want to do is write. There is so much I really don't want to deal with that pulls my time away fro...
