I love a story so well-crafted as to suck me in from page one and keep me rivoted, so that when I reach the end, I feel a tinge of regret the story's over. Ms. Connally gives her readers an opening scene that pulls one in for the emotional,romantic and danger-filled ride. This is in many ways a coming of age story with a female bent, rather than the typical male coming of age story. Kela develops and grows in an admirable, satisfying manner. Cono will make you sigh.
