Amazon's #Kindleunlimited

KINDLEUNLIMITED KINDLEUNLIMITED Being an Indie author, one has to keep up with the growing trends in online publishing. Keeping up with these trends can be tricky at times. One of the challenges is knowing when to put your books into Kindleunlimited on Amazon and when to leave them on all the other sites. Personally, I would love to have my books on all the sites at all times. One of my favorite things during Christmas shopping is to sneak into Barnes&Noble, get a cup of Starbucks, and browse through the books. Not to mention, I think there should be a The Read show like The Voice , where you can download your book from iTunes and watch it go up the charts. Then there is GooglePlay ... Kobo... Basically, I would love to be a New York Times bestselling author and not have to worry about whether or not to have my books exclusively on Amazon in Kindleunlimited. But the reality of the situation for me is that most of my readers come from Amazon. When I promote, t...

Love As A Legacy

Seductive Secrets We all want forever. When we are  l ove  and  are loved, it is forever. Love is a le gac y.  I was thinking what we leave behind—what we have given to this world. I was thinking  of  my grandmothers ... my dad and I smiled. Their passing left a void, but it is filled with memories. Some memories fade in time; others magnify. I was fortunate to have been closed to both my grandmothers. Both gave taught me invaluable lessons, not by their words, but actions. My grandmothers came from different worlds. One came from money and privilege; the other ... not so much. If I credited one person  for  my writing it would have to be my Grandmother Dotson, the one with not so much money. I would sit for hours listening to her talk of her youth. She encouraged my imagination. She grew up the youngest of seven and she was the only girl. I can still picture her talking to me, her house, her room ... even her smell. For s...
