Dramatic Conclusion to Winds of Betrayal— SET FIRE TO THE RAIN!

Image
SPECIAL ON AMAZON ONLY $0.99! AMAZON      BARNES&NOBLE     ITUNES Set Fire to the Rain has been one of the hardest books I have ever written, but I have finally completed the conclusion of my Winds of Betrayal series. Winds of Betrayal has been my baby for such a long time and has gone through many changes over the years, especially the titles to the books. The first book alone has been titled Patriot Secrets, The Cry For Freedom, Embrace of the Enemy, Winds of Betrayal 1&2 to simply—Winds of Betrayal. I don’t believe it will be surprising to know that the Culper Spy Ring has been my inspiration for Winds of Betrayal. But my story is purely fiction. The history, though, I have tried my best to stay true to the facts as well as I could. The time line may have been stretched in places to fit my story. I have spent so much time with these characters. I feel as though they are family. I started writing this series almost f...

Heat Up Your Summer!

Image
July is vacation month, but I haven't been on vacation. I'm working diligently on   Seductive Lies   under my pen name Colleen Connally  .   It's coming. I'm at the stage in the book where I'm obsessing about it. It's all I'm doing in my free time. Ask my husband. Twice this last weekend he went to the beach without me. My hair...oh, my goodness...I need to go to the salon or just let it go gray. My house...if it wasn't for my daughter, I don't think you could get through it. And it's so hot... This is what I'm working on. Erin Dameron-Hill has created an absolutely gorgeous cover for Seductive Lies... I don't have a set the exact release date. Looks like early September. I have to get a few things organized. Then I will have a set date! I just have to mention   Book Bub.   There aren't  many places an author can promote to get the results you can when you're on Book Bub. It's Awesome! I've had two...

Summer's Coming! Great Summer Reads!

Image
AMAZON     BARNES AND NOBLE The sun's out and summer promises to be round the bend. Which means one thing to me—great summer reads. I love the summer. Lazy days. Time for the beach, pool, and quiet evenings on the porch with a large glass of lemonade. How about a good book to take along. Not a bad way to spend a day to escape from the world for a short time. This summer I'm going to be busy finishing off Seductive Lies, Secret Lives Book Three. Then my attention will turn to Whispers of a Legend, Part Five and the conclusion of the Winds of Betrayal series. Next year, I also hope to have started my next series, Belle of Charleston. A couple of changes are coming also to my series. The Cry For Freedom, hopefully, will soon be free everywhere. Have to wait for it to appear on Barnes and Noble free. Smashwords is slow at times. Embrace of the Enemy is coming off of KDP. It will available everywhere after May 22. I'm also considering taking Seductive Sec...

Inspiration for Broken Legacy

Image
I am over on tony- paul's blog - A Splash of Scarlet this week. I would like to share it here as well. It has an excerpt from Broken Legacy that I haven't shared anywhere else.  My inspiration   from   my writing comes from history. Makes sense being a historical romance writer, but even in my epic fantasy I draw from history. Human nature hasn't changed...it never has. Greed, corruption , lust, selfishness, the thirst for power has been the undeniable forces that have led to unimaginable horrors within our history. But even at its worse throughout history there always emerges a light—a light to remind of us of humanity—a light to lead us out of the darkness. In fiction, it's easy to come up with a happy ending. I have control. All the conflicts and injustices I have inflicted on my hero and heroine are vindicated by the end of the book if I so choose. Good versus Evil. In my world good always trumps evil . History fascinates me . ...
