Everyone loves something for nothing. We all do. We love the feel we are getting a good deal. Giving away free books is something we Indies' do. It helps us develop a following. It's how I've sold my books. I believe in giving away a sample of my work. There has always been a debate about giving away free books. A lot of authors are dead set against it. I understand. Think about what we do...the time and energy that goes into writing just to give it away. Doesn't make much sense if you look at it one way, but the other...it has helped me sell books. It calls attention to my books. I had/have been traditionally published, but it was by small and medium size publishers. The large publishers said I needed to show I can sell books. AMAZON     BARNES AND NOBLE The sun's out and summer promises to be round the bend. Which means one thing to me—great summer reads. I love the summer. Lazy days. Time for the beach, pool, and quiet evenings on the porch with a large glass of lemonade. How about a good book to take along. Not a bad way to spend a day to escape from the world for a short time. This summer I'm going to be busy finishing off Seductive Lies, Secret Lives Book Three. Then my attention will turn to Whispers of a Legend, Part Five and the conclusion of the Winds of Betrayal series. Next year, I also hope to have started my next series, Belle of Charleston. A couple of changes are coming also to my series. The Cry For Freedom, hopefully, will soon be free everywhere. Have to wait for it to appear on Barnes and Noble free. Smashwords is slow at times. Once upon a time. Happily ever after. Dreams come true. Prince Charming.  All words associated with fairy tales. Stories I loved and grew up with. I love happily ever after. I believe that dreams can come true. When I was a little girl, I would go to sleep at night and dream of Prince Charming. Last night, I was watching the TV show Once Upon a Time. The show's episode was revolved around Never Land. My favorite! When I was a child, I was enthralled with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. I thought it wonderful that children lived in a place all by themselves, with no rules, no adults with a magical fairy. It got me thinking about fairy tales. I'm not sure if I would consider Peter Pan a fairy tale, but it is a priceless classic. But what of fairy tales? My favorite princess—Cinderella. The premise of Cinderella is ageless. Lovely lady...mistreated by an evil stepmother...the epitome of nice to humans and animals alike...everyone loved her. Growing up, every little girl wants...

I haven't been the best keeping up with my blogs. Have a lot of things going on. Not an excuse, just a reason. Life has a way of interfering with my plans. At the moment, my mom is sick. So everything I want to do is being put on the back burner. You know what I wish for everyone this holiday season...I wish that everyone—everyone would take the time to enjoy their family. I wish everyone joy and happiness. I wish everyone would concentrate on the positives in their lives. Life is too short. Enjoy it. I've had some readers wanting to know when my next book will be out under Colleen Connally. I'm shooting again for February 14, 2013. I think it will be Broken Legacy. I keep going back and forth, but I believe Seductive Lies will follow shortly after...at least it's what I have planned at the moment. PIXEL OF INK  Today has been a good day... and it's my birthday.  Finished up my edits on my next release with Whispers of a Legend. Time of the Nuxvenom should go out as schedule in November. Now my attention will turn to the next book in the Secret Lives series... Promise next book out after Time of the Nuxvenom will be a release of Colleen Connally's.  So...what's happening?
